This is something that, for whatever reason, almost always illicits weird reactions from people.

Age has never been that big of a deal to me (I have a lot of close friends who are a few years younger than me as well), but apparently it’s a really big deal to everyone else. There will be a moment where you realize something like he was in middle school when you were in high school. You find out just how many people think that making fun of your age difference is hilarious.

It’s supposed to be the time when teenage boys and girls “find themselves”, when they start to mature, make a whole new set of friends, go out and have fun, have new experiences, and generally just have a great time.

Here’s the question: can you be in a relationship and still do all of that? We started thinking about this after seeing this post in the message boards. Should you break up with your high school sweetheart just so you can experience other things (and people)? Check out what these girls think, and then give us your opinion in the comments.

I'm one of those people who feels really bad if I ignore someone, so I talked with her. We both play music, listen to the same genre and so on. But, she's in highschool, so no." Again, I'm not implying that I want to go after her, or anything. What do you think of guys going after girls that are 4 years younger than them?Dating a younger guy isn’t weird because he’s younger – it’s weird because of the way society makes you feel about it. There’s nothing you can do but just look at them and wonder how their thought process works. The 10 worst moments in any relationship Follow Gurl, pretty please!I mean, sure, there are some things that are different about dating someone who isn’t your age, but for the most part it’s really not that big of a deal. The most common reaction to the age difference is total shock, followed by the question “But how did you meet? Sometimes when you’re with him and all of his friends, you might feel a little out of place. You learn that people are rude enough to ask questions like, “But why would you date someone younger than you? Granted, some people DO want to experience other people and for those people, perhaps they should take a break from relationships and just have some sexy fun with sexy people. College is definitely the perfect place to meet new people and do new things. Is your number of sexual partners important to you? With that said, I don’t think everyone HAS to do this to get the “complete college experience.” I live in a dorm, I stay up all night to study, I starve, I overeat, I’m poor, I make new friends nearly every day, etc. If you’re looking for a time in your life to be free, do what you want and be single, then college is that time.

When they find out my boyfriend is younger, one of the first things people ask me is if he’s immature. I obviously don’t think he’s immature if I’m dating him. People I barely know are always asking me, “But aren’t you worried about you guys not being on the same page? You’ll get used to those moments of realizing your childhoods were just a little different.

  1. Well, to be fair, there are technically three or four endings, since if you get success, you can choose how to react to Matthew's request to kiss you. It's hard for me to say how romantic this game is, since while Matthew is an adorable sweetie, you're only playing through a first date with a stranger (and half a date, at that).
